- I changed the shape of the ground geometry. I will work for the old town from now on.
Characters
-Tadashi

- I don't finish uv-texturing yet. but this is almost done.
-Gitaro

- I put decorated paper texture on him, but looks just gray. might need to pick up more paper-looking texture. Uv-texturing is almost done.
-Chiko

- This character is on the process. She will wear overalls. I will put on her more yellowish texture.
I need to uv-texture 2 and a half charcters, and decide colors after that. As for the hightech city and the old Supana town, I will start creating the old one.

The land form is cool looking. I'm just curious in the first pic as far as what that bright light is between the rocks (is something blowing up in tech city). I enjoy looking at your characters. It's defiantly your own style.I can't wait to see your train.
I like the new change to the landscape. I dont know what that bright light is in the first render though. I also think that you should drop in a bump map or displacement map to create some nice textures to the landscape. great work on the characters uv map.
The texture on the ground is looking better... you might need to create multiple maps for different shots (the close-up on the train track and hill is a bit blurry). If there is a long camera truck into the shot, you will need to set-up a layered shader that blends between a low-rez and high-rez texture. I really like the “portal” in the boundary hill between the high-tech and low-tech city.
Hey! And I didn’t know that you were the person who created “How to Make a Portfolio!” That is a hilarious asset to admissions!
Everything looks great.
looking very good man. i agree with joe i think a bump/normal, and or a displacement map will help create depth and realism to your landscape. i realy like the paper texture effect on your guys, are you going to add it to the rest of your scene? if so that would be very cool, especially if you could see creases or folds in the paper. you definitely have a unique idea for this piece. also side note, sweet motion graphics admissions piece, it flows really well.
really great, i love how the landscape looks like ground and dirt and all that good natural stuff. It looks like you did a lot of work setting up the UVs. I probably coulda used ur help when i did my characters. A+
I'm really interested in what type of texture you are going to put on your buildings. Are you going to trying to keep in flat colors or something with a texture with details like windows and stuff?
